Please only carry out these steps if you do not have an active parking process in the app.
Step 1: Check whether you have installed the latest app version (Android: 1.21.1 / iOS: 1.21.2). To do this, open the "General" category. If you do not have the latest version installed, please open the App or Google Play Store and update the app!
Step 2: Log in to the Q-Park app and open the "Profile" tab.
Step 3: Open the "Licence plates" category. Click on one of your stored licence plates and delete it by clicking on the red recycle bin in the top right-hand corner and then confirming this. Please do this for all your licence plates.
Step 4: Add your licence plates according to the new licence plate format by clicking on "Add new licence plate". First select the country in which your vehicle is registered. In the drop-down menu, search for your registration office, which is located in front of the stickers on your licence plate (example: D for Düsseldorf, B for Berlin, JÜL for Jülich). Enter the remaining digits of your licence plate number in the 2nd field (without the registration office). Please do not use hyphens or similar.
Please make sure you enter your licence plate number correctly.
Example 1: You come from Aachen and your licence plate number is ACXX1111. Please enter it as follows: City/county: AC Licence plate number: XX1111
Example 2: You come from Kaiserslautern and your licence plate number is KLXX1234. Please enter it as follows: City/county: KL Licence plate number: XX1234
Step 5: Open the "Products" tab, open your long-term parking product and/or Q-Park Pay and select the newly added licence plate here.
You can find a YouTube video here.
As you made your booking before the changeover, you will not be able to drive in and out with your licence plate number.
The following solutions are now available:
1st option: Use QR code
Do not drive in and out with licence plate recognition, but use the QR code from your booking confirmation, which you received by e-mail on the day of booking. Scan this at the barrier terminals and the barrier will then open automatically for you.
2nd option: Change licence plate number
Click on the green button "Click here to change your licence plate number" in the booking confirmation that you received by email on the day of booking. You will be redirected to our website and can enter your licence plate number according to the new scheme.
First select the country in which your vehicle is registered. Now look for your registration office in the drop-down menu (example: D for Düsseldorf, B for Berlin, JÜL for Jülich). Enter the remaining letters and numbers of your licence plate consecutively in the empty field (without the registration office). Please do not use hyphens or similar.
