What is PayByPhone?
Convenient and flexible parking with PayByPhone at Q-Park
Thanks to the cooperation between Q-Park and PayByPhone, we are making parking even easier and more convenient for you. PayByPhone is one of the leading providers of mobile payment options for parking spaces – already in use in over 1,300 cities worldwide. Using the PayByPhone app, you can conveniently start, extend, or end your parking session via smartphone – without having to go to the parking ticket machine.
As a Q-Park customer, you can now benefit from a seamless digital parking solution: simply drive in and out – no parking ticket, no pay station, no need to take out your cell phone. The barrier opens automatically. Billing is secure and transparent via the app. Activate the AutoPay function in the app before you start your journey – participating Q-Park locations will then automatically recognize your vehicle.

How does parking work with PayByPhone?
1. Download the app & register
Download the PaybyPhone app from the App Store and create your account.
2. Activate AutoPay
Go to “My Account” > “Automatic Payment” in your account and activate AutoPay.
3. Select Q-Park as your parking operator
Select Q-Park from the list of supported operators.
4. Add a payment method
Add a valid payment method – and you're done!
5. Convenient parking without a ticket or pay station
The barrier opens automatically when you enter and exit. Billing takes place easily in the background – quickly and contactlessly.
You can park in over 100 Q-Park facilities in Germany that are equipped with the number plate recognition system using the PayByPhone app. Here you can find an overview list.
IMPORTANT for Q-Park customers with long-term parking card who are also PayByPhone customers:
- Are you a long-term parker in a Q-Park parking facility with number plate recognition? (You can find the list of these parking facilities here).
- Do you use the NEDAP long-term parking card as a means of access in this parking facility?
- Are you also an PayByPhone customer?
If you have answered "Yes" to all questions, you have to transfer your long-term parking product to the Q-Park app. Otherwise, the barrier will soon open automatically for you as an PayByPhone short-stay parker and you will pay twice. Please follow the instructions below.
Step 1: If you already have an online account, you need to find out the access data for your "My Q-Park account". If you do not have an online account, please contact our customer service at servicecenter@q-park.de or call +49(0)2181/8190-290 before taking any further steps to receive an activation link.
Step 2: Download Q-Park app from the respective store.

Step 3: Log in to the app either with your existing Q-Park account or via the activation link sent to you. Long-term parking products are automatically transferred to the app when you log in to the app with your existing Q-Park account with which you have subscribed to your long-term parking product.
Step 4: Select your long-term parking product and enter your licence plate.
